Dear all, I've just bought a jailbroken ipod Touch 1st gen.

However, I don't see Cydia and Installer on it.

How can I install Cydia and Installeer without jailbreaking the iPod again?

    My sincere thanks,

Hi, the ipod was jailbroken correctly by the previous owner.

However, as I'm a newbie, I think I accidentally deleted all apps including the Cydia, when I synced iPod using iTunes. That was why every app, including Cydia, was gone.

you can't delete cydia via iTunes without restoring. You probably updated or something. Jailbreak it again

Thank you. There are many tools available to jailbreak. Which one do you recommend?

I used to try QuickPwn, but it didn't work for me.

    My ipod firmware is 2.2.1

    Type in MobileTerminal:
    su
    then your password (alpine)

    then:
    dpkg -i /User/Cydia.deb

Installer is discontinued. No one uses it anymore, I used to have installer back in the day when you had the 2G jailbreak, but everyone mainly uses Cydia. Some use Rock, but it blows. I advise you do not use Cydia and Rock together, as they can cause conflicts.
