i jailbroke my ipod touch 2g 2.2.1 and it was fine, everything working. the next day the screen went white and i didnt care about the jailbreak that much so i just tried to restore it but i forgot to restore it with the original firmware and i just clicked "restore" in itunes. now my ipod doesn't show up in itunes and redsnow doesn't work. when i put it in dfu mode it still responds with usb device cannot be detected. What can i do to get it back to normal? -- the screen turned black after the restore

leave the white screen until your iPod run out of battery. You know that the jailbreak of the 2G need to be plug to your computer to boot up. There's no full jailbreak right now so everything that you turn your iPod off... you will see a white screen on the boot!

wow ummmm.... try to put your ipod into DFU mode and try using a redsn0w GUI because its simple and you dont really have to do anything.
