How can I convince my dad to let me get a new phone? -.-

    There's this phone on AT&T called the LG Thrill that's on sale for a penny for the holidays. I've been looking at it for a bit now, and decided that I kinda want it. The last time I got a new phone was the LG Vu about 2 years ago, but I bought a refurb Pantech Link about a year ago, technically not qualifying for an upgrade. He's saying that if anyone is getting a phone it's him, when his upgrade is up in less than 15 days. He gave my brother his upgrade a year ago to get the Blackberry Torch so he would take my brother's upgrade. It just seems dumb. Even if I offer to pay for it, he still says no and is just so stubborn. How can I convince him to let me get it?

    I was undecided, but I changed my mind and decided to go with the Thrill. I should update it, but I don't even know if I'm getting it.
