A couple of days ago I tried to change my default "alpine" password to something more exciting, using one of the millions of tutorials on the interwebs. It worked, initially, but when I turned it off and on, everything was ruined. It kept permenantly restarting itself every few seconds, with the home screen, and the "Edit home screen" popup appearing. So, I restored it and have got back to where I was before.

I have Jailbroken my pod using this tutorial: http://www.ipodtouchhacks.com/ipod-touch/detailed-instructions-on-how-to-jailbreak-114/ , installed some rubbish, so now what do I need to do to change my SSH password without ruining everyone's life?
