Hotmail deleting

    Hi guys I have got hotmail set up on my itouch 2g but for some reason whenever I delete mail on my itouch it does not delete it on my actuall account. When I log in on my computer they are still there

    It's this normall or have I set it up wrong

    i think this is normal, it happens on mine

    also if i read an email on my pc, it will still be unread n my ipod

    yea same, i think it is due to only being able to receive and send emails as it uses a push server. and it doesnt affect your main hotmail account.

    i found the best way to do it is to link your hotmail account through gmail which has a "leave a copy" option on it so it wont move your mail around. gmail will download your whole hotmail account but leave it to do it and when it's done if you dont want too many emails on ipod archive the emails on gmail

    Its because your email client on your computer only downloads new messages (rather than your whole inbox) so it doesn't check for deleted messages.

    Hi there thanks for all of the information I thought it may of been a set up error

    I will try and link the hotmail to my gmail account that sounds very handy
