    thanks to SkylarEC now I'm able to write a makefile and build an application.
    Once I transfer it on the ipod, if I click on my application's icon on the ipod, the application starts and immediatly close. Is that cause the signature?
    Is this a job for ldid?
    I use cygwin and the open toolchain for ipod touch 2g 3.0
    I have ldid in my toolchain forlders (xp) and I've ldid on my ipod too.
    I think under windows ldid doesn't work, am I right?
    In that case can I call ldid on the ipod by putty shell?

    What's the right way to make my applications running?

    This is my last step, thanks for your help.
    Bye
    Paolo

    Make sure your App has the appropriate permissions: 755

    Then just use the command "ldid -S YourAppBinary" in Putty

    So I think I am having the same problem with my application where it just starts and then closes. So I did the recommendation and ran chmod on my executable and then I tried to run ldid on my iPhone on my app and I get the following message.
    util/ldid.cpp(249): _assert(0:Swap(mach_header_->magic) == MH_MAGIC)
    I'm not sure if there is anything I am doing wrong (this is my first day trying to get an iphone app going so any help is appreciated.)

    Thanks!
