Whenever I use any of my 3rd party applications the bottom part of my Ipod Touch near the usb connector heats up rapidly. I'm wondering if thats normal or is something wrong..

never happened to me before.... is it like segnificantly hot? i think it's not normal. if you have the balls to restore you can take it into apple to see what they say.
remember to ssh into your ipod and backup your apps before you restore.

well no not burning if you mean.
but if i go on it for awhile the area near the dock will warm up.
possibly, like 10 minutes then it gets to a temperature of warmness.
but the problem is that the bottom is the only part that heats up.. never the middle or the top.
it only happens on 3rd party applications also.
Videos, music and photos view well and don't make any part of the ipod heat up..

    anymore suggestions?

its normal, mine does it too. well if you mean it just gets warm then its fine. i assume the bottom part near the dock is where the battery is located which is why it heats up there and it also does it when charging

well at least yours only heats up while charging.

Mine heats up when playing iPhysics or gsPhone or other games and I'm actually worried the battery might explode !

well im just guessing here but it might be because of how the 3rd party apps are programmed they eat your battery power a hell of a lot

This is the reason why ipod touch doesn't yet allow 3rd party apps... ofc its normal
