    Hi guys...
I got a new screen protector, and so I wet it and put it on. Then I put it on my table to dry.
I get back an hour later, there is a lot of sun directly on iPod touch, and its really hot. Like... hot lasgana or something.

Then I freak out because when I turn on my iPod touch, it displays the apple logo, then fades out, then goes blank.

Then, i try cool it down by pouring water over it, then try the screen protector thingy again.

The iPod does exactly what a water damaged ipod would do.

Now, I put it in an airtight bag of rice.

It works again, and I am happy, but now the screen doesn't work. Actually, if I push really hard and slide my finger, it works.

Is doing what I did worse than normal water damage? I've put my iPod in the washing machine and sink before, and they start working again. But the screen hasn't stopped responding before.

Also some suggestions on how to fix the unresponsive touch screen would be nice

Why would you pour water on it? That was the worst thing you could do, dumbass. You should have just let it cool by taking it out of the sun. Put it back in the bag of rice. After my ipod went through the wash, i left it in a bag for like a week. now it still works fine.

    Uh.. Yeah...
Because all the buttons stopped working.
And it was fully overheating. As in I left it in the shade for a while and it got hotter.

No, this isn't funny. Don't make stupid threads like these because you're bored.
