    Device:
    iPod touch
Windex, maybe? eyeglass cleaner. I just use a soft cloth and water and that cleans up my touch pretty well.

Oh please, don't use Windex. It's an acid.

Agreed. It will dissolve away the Chrome and then proceed to infect the insides and render it useless.

I scratched mine worse with toothpaste and auto buffing/polishing compound... but had rather decent luck with Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish. Maybe you have some in your auto cleaning supplies?

Takes quite a bit of elbow grease, but worth it in the long run. The back of my Touch is (nearly) flawless now save for one or two deeper scratches. Make SURE you use a verrrry soft cloth, such as flannel or even a cloth diaper (clean, of course).

EDITED to add: Let the polish do the work for you, don't bear down. I've found that most of my problems with the other two were probably due to my pressing down too hard while using them. I feel safer with the Mother's polish simply because it's especially make for metal and has a very low grit and even though it seems to take a while, it's worth the effort if shiny chrome is important to you.
