I was just wondering if it was possible to have the home screen scroll in portrait (up/down) instead of sideways (right/left)

Does anybody know if it is possible, and if it is, where?

    Thanks.

I don't really know if you can do that but how ever you can do that in categories.

It would be nice if there was a winderborad add-on that could do this. Then it could scroll up and down like my old Palm.

The only way that I know of now is to put all your icons into one categories folder, and then lunch that one folder every time. But thats annoying.

    From my knowledge, no.

Although if I remember correctly. The first jailbreak on the iPhone would do just that. It would scroll up and down, rather than left to right.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.

no its not the iphone that does that - the original summerboard (predecessor to winterboard, allowed scrolling springboard before it was implemented by apple) had vertical scrolling springboards, but it was really buggy and crashed a lot. they changed it. it's better this way though

you can put your apps into categories and then go into the folder and turn left/right scrolling off. Thats the only thing I can think of to get it up and down

There is a theme which manages to do this somehow.
I believe it rotates the icons and does something else to cause the dock to move.
Although it could have been a theory.
