Today I made a Stylus for my iPod Touch 2G. It also works with the iPod Touch 1G and iPhone 2G & 3G. I tested out in my MacBook trackpad and it also worked there but it wasn't easy to do it. With the Stylus its much-much easier to type on the iPod Touch / iPhone Keyboard. Below the instructions on how to make your own Stylus:
    Materials:
    •Aluminum Paper (4 inches)
•Pencil (has to have an eraser)
    •Tape
    •Scissors

    Instructions:
    1) Wrap the pencil inside the Aluminum Paper. (Leave about 1/2 inches from the bottom of the pencil to the bottom of the paper, and 1/2 inches from the bottom of the eraser to the top of the paper).
    2) When fully wrapped press the eraser till the aluminum paper around it gets flat (This is for the Aluminum Paper not to scratch your iTouch or iPhone).
    3) Customize the Stylus if you want and YOU ARE DONE!!! As simple as that!

it's really easy to build a stylus^^ you even can use anything with a steelbody. For example your scissors. It just have to conduct electricity. Just touch one part of the scissors(a steel part) with your fingers and youll be able to let any other part of it to act as a stylus. Cool he?^^

This will work cuz the touchscreen reacts to electrostatic appearance

(our body has some of that^^) thats also why the TOUCHscreen can work behind an usual glassplate

    Sometimes thats real fun

actually thats not entirely true - the ipod also requires a certain size of the object being touched to ensure no accidental touches. the tip of a pair of scissors is too small. the size is about the size of a pencil eraser, a little smaller.

dood, there are like 50 million posts like this all u need is a ds stylus and cover it with aluminum foil and tape in place or get a cloth and cover a not that shap pencil after wetting is since water conducts electricity and the tape in place

I recently found a small iPod/iPhone stylus that works great here in the UK.

Its like a small diary pen with a soft rubbery end. Works nearly like my finger
