Well I'm kinda paranoid about my Touch, so I want to know if pressing the home button too many times will break it. Is that why so many other people's buttons break? Or is it another reason?

Ok, I have had my iPod touch since 2 weeks after it was announced and nothing has affected the home button. It feels the same, it works the same. Nothing to be paranoid over

You can always take care of the home button, but if for any reason is stops working or breaks, you can always take it to Apple.

Will Apple fix it for free if I have a warranty?

If you still have warranty, of course.

It depends on how hard you press it. If you have pressed it pretty hard many times over and over, yes, I can see how it would be worn out. If this has been a persistant problem ever since you got it, then it was faulty to begin with. If you have this under warranty, I highly recommend replacing it.

I dont think it will break just by using it normally. Im sure they test for that.

Lol yeah, my iPod's button is alright. I'm just scared of pressing it too many times. I just didn't know if they would fix it for free since they might say that it was my fault just like how they won't replace water damaged iPods.

yeah and they are charging me 200 bux to replace my 1g 16gig ipod touch, because the home button no longer works. And if i give them my old ipod they give me 10% off.what the f***.it was 400 when i bought it.There's gotta be a way to have some sort of onscreen respringing or home button.
