home button delays

    whenever im using a app and press the home button to get out of it, it takes like 3-6secs for it to move. before it was instant. what happened? how can i fix this?

    Happens to my 2nd gen as well. I think it just happens because we're using 2nd gen iPods x.x.

    It's not instant termination, there are certain "processes" it has to go through to safely terminate the process

    mines a 3G 8GB touch, and the exit was quicker before.
    btw whenever i click home it slows down w/e in the app and then it exits.

    what Protocol7 said. it also depends on what background processes are already running and how much ram they use, and how much ram the app you're exiting from uses up.
