(I've only played pokemon crystal on gameboy4iphone, so I don't know if any of the following holds true for other games as well). Without holding down multiple buttons, the game goes at a normal speed and is a bit jumpy, but as soon as I start holding down 2+ buttons everything speeds up and smooths out. This isn't in any way a criticism, I'm just wondering why this happens (it's kind of nice actually...pokemon gets really dull at the normal framerate).

btw i scanned through previous threads and didn't see anything on this topic...so, sorry if this has been posted before.

uhh man thats just lame. Its an inbuilt feature in pokemon, when you press B and walk you begin running

Pressing B was just an example...if i hold the select button or the A button i speed up all the same. also im fairly sure its not a feature of pokemon, the music and all other sprites get faster when this happens.

There is absolutely no reason this should happen, no logical reason

The same thing happens to me. It also speeds up the music and the clock.
