hold feature on 2g ipod touch

    does the 2g have a hold feature, the nanos and other have a hold switch does this have something similar..

    It doesn't have anything like that of other ipod models, but whenever you want - mid song or when you're done using your device - simply press the Sleep/Wake button and you won't accidentally change the song or activate a doomsday device.

    Yup, its the top button. Just hold it for like 2 seconds and it would be on hold

    Sleep is like hold. It'll shut off the ipod until you press the home button again. Also, the music plays while the ipod is in sleep mode.

    yeah i know about the sleep button but is there nothing that allows you to watch a video without a menu or tool bar popping up when you touch the screen, thanks for your help

    No, there isn't, but that seems kind of pointless, i mean, if you don't want the toolbar to pop up while watching a video, then don't touch the screen.

    If you want it to disappear tap the middle of the screen.

    Exactly. Since there are no physical buttons (other than the home button), nothing can be accidentally pressed while the iPod is in your pocket or whatever, so there really is no reason for a hold button.
