Although the volume rocker, and speaker on the 2G ipod touch are a nice addition, I think I like the first gen touch better. I just think it feels more solid and "expensive" in my hand. The new one feels "cheaper". The new one IS cheaper, and has a better battery though. I just dont see a compelling reason to upgrade. The new one didnt blow me out of the water or anything.. lets just say that.

i personally think that the new thin rounded feel is more comfortable cooler, the speaker is pretty good, and the screen seems of better quality for some reason.......but until theres a jailbreak or i get the money, im not selling my 1G to get a 2G

I just sold my 1G yesterday.
Personally, I like the 2G a lot more than the 1G (My brother has 2G).

I am not a fan of the new shape, which means I'll have to adjust my typing.
I like how it is really slick/skinny, but I'm scared it will break much easier now.
Maybe a case will take care of that, no?

But as for the speakers, I wouldn't be buying the 2G without them.

there really isnt if you already have one...unless you need more memory its definitely not worth the upgrade... unless u really want it...

I bet there isn't one owner of a 1g that wouldn't JUMP at the chance to upgrade..................if they could.

I guess my main point was I dont like the new shape. The new nano is awsome, but the new touch just felt cheap and not durable in my hand. The new features are better, but not enough to make me want to sell my old one

The 2g feels awesome imo to the 1g

1g's feel clunky to me now.

Ok, the iPod touch 2Gen is an ok device and you don't have to upgrade.
The speaker is just plain crap to be honest. It's only good for Apps like Tap Tap, but for listening to music with, I wouldn't recommend it. It's shouty and tinny. Things you don't want in speakers.
Nike+ is useless for me seeing how I don't jog or run.
    Better battery life is good
    and the price is good.
It does feel that slightly cheaper in my hands

I think it's because they made it a bit lighter, and makes me think it's cheaper.
