Well, I seem to have a large problem going on.

For a while now, I wasn't able to connect to itunes with my Ipod Touch 2G.

I switched out the cable I was using to the standard apple connector and it worked fine. The Third-Party Cable I'm using from Belkin isn't doing me much good though.

It won't connect to either my computer everything is already stored on and the one which my Ipod is registered to, or the new one I have which I need to transfer everything to. I needed to get this to work because I planned on jailbreaking my 3.0 software. The problem is, the Apple cable I used to sync my Ipod previously has been recently used as a cat's plaything, and I'm pretty sure I can't use it ever again. I'm kind of afraid of just putting electrical tape around the broken halves for fear of the download stopping short or something weird happening. So I guess my question for you guys is -

    1. What third-party cable do you suggest I get for pretty cheap
    2. Would the electrical tape idea work ok?

    Thank you guys in advance

try eletrical tape first, see if that works. check for any suspicious things along the cord. if not hope you kept the receipt.
