Not me. These are my opinions I find that rap is boring and imo not music at all. It's just a beat with a guy talking. But hey, you might say metal is just people with long hair screaming.

Yeah, It matters who's rapping though, with some rappers they tell stories with their rap, such as "Surviving the Times" by NaS, he tells the story of his childhood through the song
Edit: @ryanlusk, I will try not to create a flame war

I don't like rap. Too much electronic beats, voice mixers, bad lyrics. Music shouldn't be like that. And most songs are loaded with cus words, i.e. "F*** That S***." What a soulful song.

That's true I guess. It's the fact I never understand what they are trying to actually say...

I find rap to be too generic. Same beats throughout the whole song.

The new rap that you hear on the radio is like that, but back in the 90's Rap was unique to each rapper. Today Rap has become to commercialized.

I like rap...my favorite instruments are the piano and percussion so that is probably why. The rhythm is the most important part of a song to me, not the lyrics. I feel that most other genres concentrate on the lyrics. In rap it's not so much what you say, but how you say it. I'll agree that its not singing, but it is music; it is a skill.

Wth? That isn't true of most genres... Rock and Jazz concentrate plenty on music.
