i have started using my new ipod touch and there are some strange things...

my old one that are in on repair was on the 2.0.2 firmware. (i won a new ipod touch so thats why i have two now) i have now updated to the same firmware on my new one and some things are diferent. like the contrast is really high and some lines and graphics looks too bright. im very sure it didnt look like that on my old one. and the audio volume seams a bit higher for some reason. very strange.

some colors dont apear like in the screenshoots. for instance when you browse the music with the letters and where it says "songs"

the colors feels kinda washed out...

any idea why this could be? is it becous i have a newer model or something?

it has nothing to do with the brightness/contrast in the setting menu. i allways had on highest brightness on my old one and i have it on the new one too, but it looks strange.

and also, if i look close on the screen and tilt it a little up and down, i can see some pixels light up a little depending on what angle im looking on them! :S

I noticed that some screens on newer touches have a high contrast issue where things look really bright wise in terms of menus and icons. I had that issue on my last ipod touch until I got it replaced for battery issues. It is the screen itself, so I doubt you could really do anything about that at this point.

    Ahem.

Of course taking Screenshots of your iPod and taking PICTURES with your Camera OF your iPod will produce different colors.

    Isn't it obvious?

how the hell should i show you guys if not with pictures? and i can see the problems very clearly on the screen so its kinda hard to show you. only way was to try to take a picture compared to a screenshoot. i also have alot of white pixels.

Oh i'm sorry,i just read you're message again, it does have the same firmware..

Maybe a different manufacturer of the screen. I've heard from somewhere that there are different manufacturers that provides the screen for apple.

There have actually been reports of the newer models of the iPod touch having these symptoms.
There isn't really anything that can be done about it.

They look the same?? And why waste power on putting your iPod at full brightness? Isn't half-way enough for 'ya?
