Hello all, I am a new member/poster to this forum, so please forgive me if this post is in the wrong area, or has maybe been talked about before, but here goes.

I have a iPod 3rd gen, 32Gig, I currently use it to (among other uses) output to my TV for TV shows and Videos, My current setup is a little BoBo. It consist of:

    iPod mentioned above.
Dynex Doc with Video output & remote
Big ugly tube TV using the S-Video input

I have ordered a new Hi-Def LCD w/ HDMI and Component inputs, I also recently purchased a iHome iP1 dock.

This thing is great, but anyway it has component output, so this leads to my overall question; can you put Hi-Def video on the iPod Touch and have 720p or so output to the TV with a dock?

    Zero

umm, someone correct me if I am wrong but...the iPod Touch doesn't support Hi-Def, no matter what model it is.

only 1 way to find out, but I'd be pretty surprised if it had the horsepower to do 720p

that being said, I'm curious to find out for sure, because I'm leaning the same way you are
