    I'm Sutrisno from Indonesia
    new to ipod touch n this forum
    found this forum when googling to find solution for my ipod touch

    here's the problem on my ipod

    manage to restore my ipod touch 2g to factory setting
    everything is functioning well
    can hear the click and all
    sliding the screen to unlock is working...
    but the screen is totally white...
    think it's cause by low batt...
    didn't charge it straight away when the screen is showing the charge indicator...
    anyway to help me out? is this hardware issue or software?
    tried out rescuing screen of death by holding home and sleep button to no avail till now

    So the entire screen is white? Nothing else that you can see? That is very strange. Was it like that before you restored the ipod or after? The only thing that I can think of is a complete reformat.

    You should put in more details like if you can still see something on the screen and did this still happen after recharging or doing another restore if you did another one.

    that happened to me quite a few times, my screen just went completly blank, and i could charge it too, but it was just a blank screen, what i did is i let the battery die on it left it on all night and in the morning it was working fine.

    It's a bug, just play with it and try to restart it.
