I'm chrismonster13! I'm a pretty skilled iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad hacker. The other day I installed iOS4 on my device and I wanted to ask anyone else who updated: Have you noticed battery life decreasing? Mine dies so quickly now. I left it sit, locked of course, for 5 hours, and it died. When running 3.1.2 I could use it for a day or two before it needed to be charged. Let me know what ya have

What kind of device are you using? Any multitasking?

I noticed that too. I think my battery life is now half or three-quarter what I had before I updated. I'm running iOS4 jailbroken, only multitasking enabled, and no Mobile-Substrate add-ons on a 2nd generation iPod touch.

a day or 2? according to apple's tech specs, it should last 12.5 days in stand-by (sleep)

i thought that it shuts off after 10min of running in a sleep state. Insomnia can only do that.

Use the wifi toggle in settings or sbsettngs or make something to turn it off in sleep mode/standby.

If you put it in Airplane mode before you lock it, it turns of everything... WiFi, blutooth, and everything else. It worked 4 me

My boss had the same problem, all you have to do is reset the phone and his iphone 3g seemed to get back to the battery life that it was at. Either hold home/power button for 10 seconds, or power off and power back on.
