Hey everyone I am new to this forum and U have no idea where to put my question so here it is...I would greatly appriciate some help:

Ok so here's the deal, my dad and I both have 2gen iPod touches and wifi has always been working perfectly fine. But recently it's been acting up and being annoying. It wasn't working for me so I looked at my dads iPod wifi....he had it on the static setting where you can edit info manually and so I just copied the same info onto mine. But when ever I go to safari or whatever the liitle wifi bar in the upper left corner wasn't there but te same exact settings work on my dads....this is very frustrating for both please help

Probably a restore would fix it. But first, I would turn off the router and ipod for 30 sec. Then restart them both. Then test out your connection. That worked for me.

How do you restart your router....unplug the power source from the back?

Or there may be an on/off switch.

Try it on a friends wifi, before you restore to see if it's the router
don't listen to people who just say restore
It's generally a problem that could be fixed another way
