help!!

    a long time ago i used to jailbreak a lot. i stopped and now all these new updates r out. i have a jailbroken 1.1.4 and want to update it a normal 2.1.1. is there anything i need to do before restoring and updating using itunes?

    Just for clarification, the firmware that you'd be updating to is 2.1.0. The 2.1.1 firmware is for the iPod Touch 2G only.

    There shouldn't be any problems with you updating to the new firmware, except that anything you got through jailbreaking will be deleted (as with any previous updates). You can re-jailbreak it fairly easily though with QuickPwn. If you haven't been doing the jailbreaking thing recently, you should know that a bunch of things have changed with the new firmware including the way applications are coded, so not all previous jailbreak apps are available.
