iPhone 3GS not working, I reset the network settings and now blackra1n is not working, its just stuck on geohots face on the iphone and then it reboots again and I have to jailbreak again and then it reboots again and the cycle continues, does anyone know how to fix this?

Try putting the phone into DFU mode then restore back to what I'm guessing is 3.1.2 since you're jailbreaking and then jailbreak the fresh install of the firmware.

Ok so to restore back to 3.1.2 will the shift and restore method work? I thought it wouldn't work?
can I leave the phone In recovery mode and then do the restore to 3.1.2?
If I get any errors will it update it to 3.1.3? If I edit the host file so it does not communicate with iTunes but with cydia instead?

You cant shift+restore to downgrade to 3.1.2 on a 3GS im sorry to say. Only way to downgrade if you had SHSH saved for 3.1.2

Your best bet is to just restore to the latest firmware: 3.1.3

Although you won't be able to jailbreak, it'll put you on a stock, reliable Apple firmware until a new jailbreak is released for the iPhone 3GS and 3.1.3!
