    Ok, when I followed the DFU mode instructions in Quickfreedom, my iPod shut down. It doesn't respond, and iTunes won't recognize it. Windows wants me to find the driver for it. Help please!

    Never mind. I was able to force reboot. It's fine now.

    ryan i have exact the same problem, search youtube for tuts to solve it, i havent fixed my ipod yet..

    Plug into a different comp, put it in DFU mode, then it should be recognized by itunes. Then plug back into your original computer and it should be fine.

    thanks, but i got it working again. i still have a problem, but i started a new thread for it.
