Here is what I did, and it seemed to work:

This is how to move ONE application, you have to repeat these steps (except for the mkdir command) for each operation you want to move to the /private/var partition

    1) ssh to your ipod (ou use Term-vt100 iPod App)
    2) enter the following commands
    mkdir /private/var/Applications
    cd /Applications
    cp -r AppToMove.app /private/var/Applications
    rm -rf AppToMove.app
    ln -s /private/var/Applications/AppToMove.app .

Note: I didn't try this to move an "Official" app, only to move some of the apps I installed using Installer.app, don't know if it is safe to move things like Preferences.app this way.

lol he means moving it to another partition, the tut up there is not great here's a good one

    Opne SSH / Term-vt100
    Type In
    Code:
    cp -R /Applications /private/var/Applications
    Code:
    rm -r /Applications
    Code:
    ln -s /private/var/Applications /Applications
To See If It Worked, Type In
    Code:
    cd /
    Code:
    ls -la
If This Comes Up Then It's Good
    Cheers,
    Ben.
