Knock the crap out of some short kid a few times and you will get your confidence back...

    What position are you?

I know exactly how you feel. I've been put through stuff like that before...

Get lower than the guy your tackling, explode with your hips and lead with your shoulder, putting your head to the side to which he's moving. Wrap you arms above the back of his knees and pull violently. That part is key to bringing him down.

The fear thing is the worst though. Just don't go head to head, use your shoulder, and that should help.

I ended up quitting high school football. My school was in the top 50 of the national rankings, so therefore the coach is a nut, and I'm 6'1", 150 lbs, which is WAY to skinny for the offensive line, which I played since I was little.

    first of all,
why would you hit helmet to helmet? that cause concussions and blackouts.
square up against the guy and hit real low. if he gets low you get lower.

Try getting a good low stance going and when you tackle
aim your shoulder just below their belly button (but not too far)

Another thing you can do is get a little bit of forward motion
going and when you connect wrap your arms around them
and pull down. Try not to put your head to the side they will
fall or you may get injured pretty badly. If theyre coming at
you fast, get low, hit them, wrap the arms and fall back.
96% of the time that will take them down.

Relax, and then tense, just before impact for maximum
    power... Good luck!
