well i had a quick question for charging ur touch and using the aux cable. i was wondering if there was a difference between using a car charger that had a aux cable input (something like this from using just a regular car charger and using ur head phone jack to connect to ur aux cable.

    3G iPod touch
I am trying to figure out something similiar. I posted the following on a different forum.

I just purchased my first iPod (and MP3 player for that matter). It is the touch 3G, 32 gb. It seems most people say that the voice control feature looks good on the surface but isn't utilized much. It seems like it would have the potential of working good in the car. I have a pioneer car stereo and purchased an RCA adapter that plugs into the back of the unit. I decided that I wanted to be able to control music from the iPod and not the pioneer deck alone. It appears I now have two options for trying to use the voice control feature while driving.
    1) Audio out from the ipod connector to RCA and find a microphone that would work for the headphone jack
    2) Find an adapter with a microphone for the headphone jack (so I can use the headphone jack for both the microphone and audio out) and leave the ipod connector open for power

From my "google-ling" I have found the following products but am not sure if they would work or not. For the gigaware microphone I read the following review:
"And here\'s a bonus that isn\'t in the manual: On the iPhone 3GS upgraded with OS 3.1, pressing the track control button for 3 seconds gives access to the iPhone\'s full voice commands, so I can tell it to jump to any song, album, or artist, again without touching the phone. Super!"
This product is sold right at radio shack so I might try it and return it if it doesn't work.

Some other similiar products that I haven't found any info on if they would work or not are:

Any input would be appreciated Thanks!!
