I don't get it. I bought my touch like a month ago and the battery goes down really fast. Do they die that quickly? I left it in standby for an hour (the battery was like 20%) and it turned itself off because it was so low. Should I unjailbreak it and take it back to an Apple shop?

Sometimes the battery, for some odd reason, just shuts off for weird reasons. I've had this happen to me five times in a row, but it has it's way of fixing itself. Plug it into power to give the battery a charge. This should power on your device. Unplug and see if it can retain power, if not, charge it again.

Try making changes in the settings to make the battery last longer. This can also help.

If all fails, you may need to replace the battery. That is a last resort.
