Hey, my ipod touch got some water damage (only submerged accidentaly in cold water for about a second)! It's still under warranty but I know that it doesn't cover water damage.

It truned on but the screen had these little gray lines running up and down it. The touch works just barely and the sound button doesn't work. I don't think it can be repaired at home. Can anyone give me an estimate on how much it would cost to get it repaired?

Put in a bag of rice for about a week. The rice will drain the water. AND RULE NUMBER ONE: NEVER TURN IT ON AFTER BEING DROPPED IN WATER

I don't know but try turning it off and leaving it out to dry. When i droped my phone in the ocean I left it out for two days and it worked

turn it off and leave it off. Put in bag of rice or a bag with some silica gel packets.
