Okay, I need help. I am using Pheonix's Semi-Tethered Jailbreak TuT, and I am trying to get into DFU mode, but how can I tell if I'm doing it right/when im in DFU. He really doesn't explain it much, can anyone help?

basically, plug in your ipod. turn it off. hold down home and power for 10 seconds, then release the power button while still holding the home button. you should be in dfu after probably 10 more seconds

The screen black, then jailbreak tells me to un-plug/re-plug, and it should turn white, but it doesn't. How can I fix this black problem?

    I get this:

Try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
I had that too once, it worked for me.

What he said. Plug it in and: Hold the home and power buttons untill you hear a sound, when you hear the sound release the power button but keep holding the home button. You should keep holding it untill you hear another sound. Your iPod will now be in DFU mode.

Yeah, you have to have LibUSB installed.

And just hold home and power for 10 seconds, then let go of power and hold home for 10-20 seconds, and you should be in DFU mode.

When I used redsn0w tool 1.0, I had lots of problems; I solved most of them by replugging after each step. Just try that ^.^
