    Hi All !

My iPodTouch 3G, FW 3.1.2, JB (Spirit) had contact with water
and is now stuck in a boot loop (Apple Logo permanently on screen)

My biggest concern is to access and save data now (especially notes and contacts)

With the apple logo in display the device is not recognized by itunes.

I can set it into DFU mode and into recovery mode. Then it is recognized by itunes, however the only option I have then is to recover, which would erase all data

Any suggestions, how I could either convince the device to run up again or at least to access the folder containing notes and contacts in order to save them on my PC ?

    Best Regards

do you see apple logo and respring loader icon,
i mean does springboard keep crashing after boot,
if so, when you connect ipod to pc, then it boots up with safe mode.(mine was keep crashing too.when i connected it to pc it booted up with safe mode), and you will be able to backup whats inside with ifunbox
if not, only thing i can say is restore it.
    good luck
