I had 1.6gb of "other" things on my ipod a day ago, according to itunes. I never found out what that was. But this morning, I plugged it in to itunes, and it was 5gb and now I have no space left for anything. How can I find out what this stuff is and where it is? I suspect that I"m doing this in my sleep, so I can't stop it. The only thing I can do try to locate whatever is on it. Please help me. This is very bad...

Hey, I have experienced the same problem... First I will explain other memory. Other is anything that is in var mobile library where all your Cydia apps are. So if you have 100 MXtube downloads you will have a lot of other. To solve this problem Try a respiring then a complete turn off. To turn your ipod off Hold the power button for 10 sec then slide to power off. Keep your ipod off for 10sec then turn it on. Your other should be lower now. If your other is still high consider removing junk then rebooting. Hope this helps

Nothing happened. Still says 4.95gb of Other. What's up? I need that space back. I didn't get a 16gb so it could be filled up with files that I never put on it...

Try going to Settings.app<general<Reset<Reset all Settings

This will reset all the settings in your Settings.app including mobile substrate. You will also lose your saved network passwords.

I uninstalled rock and rebooted and it still says all that space is taken up, but now it's 4.99gb. What's up? This is so stupid!

Oh I get that warning all the time. But this is in itunes. It lists the audio, video, photos, apps, then other. And I generally have less than 100mb of other.
