Guys, can anybody help me? There is something filling up my touch's memory. Is it a virus? how do i get rid of it? When you sync it, it shows up as "Others" or that orange fill. Hardly room left in my 16GB!

Please please please, is there i way i can fix this without having to redo all my settings, program downloads, etc.?

    In deep trouble guys!

Happens to many. Just restore your Touch. Yes, it's going to be a pain re-syncing all your stuff again.

You can also restore to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2. But yes it will be the original and not jailbreaked

sorry to nag, just really wanna make sure

my touch came with the original 1.1.3

i down graded it to 1.1.1

if i restore it now, will it go back to the 1.1.3 that came with it

or will it restore to the 1.1.1 that was installed to jailbreak it?

    pls be patient with me

Before restoring, you should SSH into your iPod and try to isolate what's taking the space. Consult this thread before deleting it (if you find the spacesucker), because sometimes you can really screw things up. But just keep finding the folder size over SSH or SFTP to try and isolate it.

ROMs,, etc, most likely. Or you used something like SwapTunes, etc. Restoring would be the worst thing you could do. Just find out what's taking up space and delete it.

he he he, thanks for the suggestion

however, i have been asking in these threads for the longest time how i can have the ssh run in my touch coz i cant check the files ... nobody seems to know how to help me so never had a running ssh and never been able to tinker with file folders, etc.

locating the space sucker and deleting it as easily as windows explorer .... have been wanting to do that but can't

    any other idea?
