This summer, i wil be traveling to china with my band, and i (of course) will have my ipod with me. As this is a very long flight, i am sure that my battery will die. I was wondering how i would make a solar charger for it, because this the only thing that will charge it far above the surface of the earth.........

i googled it, and only got hits for other ipod models, and i know that the touch is different. Anyone know how to make one for the touch?????

    two reasons:

i dont want to have to carry the batteries with me, cause im just going to have to change them, and solar is endless

    and
i dont want to buy off awebsite, i would rather go to radio shack, buy the stuff, and make it myself

The only thing that I'm wondering is if the windows on an airplane are tinted to the point where not enough sunlight would get through to charge the iPod.

i could just turn the little lights above me on, and use that light.......besides, solar panels dont require direct sunlight..........

    Also:

that requires me to order stuff online........

Heh, I've got a feeling that airport security would have a couple questions about that one.

Trust me, with a portable solar charger, those lights won't be powerful enough.

so if we make it neat enough looking to pass security, and make it efficent enough to work off little light (iff it i that dark, i will be sleeping anyway.........) we might have a problem...
