I just jailbroke a 1.1.5 itouch then got FW changer and clicked 1.1.4 so I could get summerboard on it then I restarted it and now its stuck on this screen it says :

singleuser boot -- fsck not done
    Root device is mounted read-only

if you want to make modifications to files

    /sbin/fsck -fy
    /sbin/mount -uw /
if you wish to boot the system:
    exit

    and itunes wont reconize it!

Put it to DFU mode then restore in iTunes.

Hold down the home and power button for EXACTLY 7 seconds.

Once the 7 seconds is up let go of the power button until iTunes says waiting for ipod... with a progress bar below it, once it is done waiting for the iPod you can restore. And might i recommend 2.1 as your firmware, you won't regret it!

This was mentioned a long time ago in his FWchanger thread. When you change the firmware version in FWchanger there is NO NEED TO REBOOT. It changes the firmware instantly so there is no need for respring or reboot especially reboot cuz thats what it does.
