download iTunes 7.5, then put your iPod into DFU mode, then simply shift-click and select 1.1.1_restore.ipsw

there is a sticky on ipodtouchfans that has a link to the 1.1.1 resore.ipsw

    check it

DFU is the "emergency" restore mode for an iPod

to activate it, hold BOTh the Home, and the sleep buttons for 7 seconds, THEN, let go of just the sleep WHILE still holding the home button...

if it doesn't work the first time, try it again, it requires some* timing

    DFU means device firmware upgrade,

    to do this.

hold sleep and home for TEN seconds, then let go of sleep and keep holding home, and make sure youre connected to the computer, once it connects you can restore to 1.1.1

if the screen is black but its still connected dont worry thats normal
