so my ipod is stuck in that "apple" logo for the past hour!
i tried synching some new apps from my itunes and it took FOREVER as usuall.
but it took nearly 2 hours for 1 new app.
so on itunes it said it was done but in ipod it had spinning wheel of DEATH!
    for another 30hour..
so i restarted it thinking it got frozen because the wheel kept frozen.
now when it rebooted it just stayed at apple logo.
any idea what this is and how to fix it?
AND im planning on jailbreaking it so is this a good time to say, lets jailbreak:]

Turn off the ipod by holding the sleep/wake button and the home button together at the same time for a few seconds. This will "force" the ipod to turn off.
This happens to me often now with all these installs/updates. I think it's just part of 2.0 being unstable at the moment.
As a side note, I often have to do this a few times (force shut off) before it finally reboots to the home page. If it's stuck on the apple logo for more than 5 minutes, force reboot it!
See how that goes for you...
