    Pls my ipt2g got into recovery mode and it said i couldn't restore cuz i have a passcode. i put it into DFU mode to restore, but then i realized i have no backup of my stuffs. anyway to patch or something to get out of DFU?

    I don't think you can get out of DFU mode.

    I mean, once you're in it, you HAVE to restore.

    Can anyone confirm this for me? I might be mistaken.

    OK try this.

    Hold the home button and power button together for 10 seconds. Then, turn your iPod on.

    Doesnt that just get you back to recovery mode?

    No, I don't think so.

    Plug your iPod into the computer. Do the above steps. You should hear a beep. Then, I think if you turn on your iPod normally, it should work.

    To get out of dfu mode use iRecovery fsboot or hold the power button or 30-60 seconds, that might work.
