Ok, this an odd story, but I need help! So I have a jailbroken ipod touch 2G, and none of my apps would sync, Ok so I tried to restore it, and it came up with an unknown error, and stuck in recovery mode, when I plug it into a computer, it says iTunes has detected an IPHONE, this is an ipod touch, and when I click restore, it says firmware for it is not avaible, AHHHHHH. Tried dfu restore and dfu pre boot, didn't work.

If you paid for your apps I see no reason why they should not sync...

We have a very low tolerance of App Store piracy here so, if your problem is indeed related to theft of software, then I suggest you delete all pirated apps, restore your device and start supporting the developers by buying your App Store apps.
