help please!! someone... asap!

    okayy so i just got the ipod touch last sunday ive done everything its said to do but when i try getting on the wifi it never works at all we have 3 laptops and 2 computers and we all use the same network but the itouch is saying its connected but when i go onto safari it says: "safari cant open the page because it cant find the server." im driving myself crazy cause im leaving in the morning to go to france and i will be gone for 3 weeks so this is like my only way of talking to people! so i need it to work! can someone please help me?

    what encryption are u using on your network....wep, wpa, ect or nothing???

    if you go into your settings menu and then wifi, when u r 'connected' does your ip adress start with 192.168 or does it start with a random number?

    hmmm, thats strange, your connection is obviously fine, and you a correct ip adress....are you at home, do u use a proxy server?

    uhh this is driving me insane!! i am at home and honestly i really dont pay attention to these things soo i have no clue if i use a proxy server.

    i doubt this will work but try it....

    1. Tap "Settings"
    2. Tap "WIFI"
    3. Slide the "WIFI" slider "OFF"

    ...wait until the servers disappear (takes about one second)

    4. Slide the "WIFI" slider "ON"

    ...wait until the servers appear
    ...wait until you are automatically connected
    ...wait until you have your "WIFI" meter (upper-left) appear

    5. Press the button to return to the main menu
    6. Tap the Safari icon

    In moments, your web page should load.
