Hey, Im having a bit of a trouble installing itunes on to my windows xp x64. i've searched it up on google but the itunes that i installed doesnt see my itouch. I tried shutting down the device and turning it back on, reinstalled itunes, nothing works. Under My Computers, my itouch would be in the scanner and camera section. Everytime i plug in my itouch a wizard menu pops up saying if i want to import photos....

please help. ive been search for an answer for quite a while. Thanks in adavance.

I don't know about the not recognizing it, but it's normal that it's recognized as a camera because of the screenshot feature.

Does the iPod make the sound it's being plugged in? Also why didn't you install the iTunes from Apple?

yes, it makes a sound when i plug it in. The itunes from apple's site doesnt work. It saids that this version of itunes is for windows xp 32 bit and that i need to install the 64 bit version.

Itunes doesnt offer for OS windows xp x64 professional. so how do i suppose to sync my iotuch???

    Thanks for all the help.
    i used this site http://sites.google.com/site/yukichigai/iphonex64
    and just installed the applemobiledevicesupportx64
with that my computer was able to recognize my itouch as an actual itouch not as a cam.

Than i used an alternative itunes program called MediaMonkey. Before i installed applemobiledevicesupportx64 MediaMonkey wasnt able to see my itouch but now it does with applemobiledevicesupportx64.

Its better than itunes in my opinion.
