I finally caved lol. My question is:

I have been hearing about this problem with the player randomly playing music with the new headphones and so forth and people having to trade their brand new ipod touch in for new ones and some people refurbished ones. I'm not in the mood for all that so..................where can I go to get the freshest batch/just made ipod touchs? Best Buy? Apple store? I live in NYC so I have many choices. Which would be best?

Did this post?! I'm new here not sure.

P.S I have never owned one but very familar with the apple products due to several friends/family owning them. Held out all these years for several reasons. Finally caved when I found the other options less desirable.

    A third vote for CostCo.

Also, I've never heard of or have had that the issue you mentioned. I've had my 3G since a few days after they were announced, and it works flawlessly.

Update to 3.1.2 and you shouldn't have any problems at all.

I've traded mine in for another one at the Apple store. First one had a messesup screen, this one still has the same volume/audio Jack problems. I'm done with this Apple bs for now so I'm not even going to bother with returning again.

For almost 400 dollars, I can't expect perfection from Apple?

just shows more the fact that they were rushing for some reason. It is not like apple to have so many things wrong on so many ipods. Hopefully they fix the problems or they will lose many customers.
