Hey, I've searched for a solution to my problem but most solutions require your ipod touch to have already been jailbroken and my ipod is not.

Basically, the problem is that I think my ipod touch battery was really low, my brother was playing games and suddenly it just flashed and started blinking with the apple logo. I pressed the Home and Wake button a few time but that didn't help and then suddenly my ipod went into recovery mode. Showing a picture of a usb pointing to an Itunes disk with a music note on it.

Is there anyway one can get one's ipod out of this mode without having to restore, I really don't want to lose my music, videos etc

If you can see the status bar, you can just plug it in. If you can't, backup and restore.

    Oh, thanks.

Nope, I don't have access to any of my apps.

    This is what it's showing.

Plug it in to iTunes, and hold home & power until it reboots. You should then be out of recovery mode.
If that doesn't work, you'll need a restore.

As in press both of them down at the same time? Sigh. Thanks for your contribution though
