my ipod is 2nd gen with 2.2.1 firmware tethered jailbreak with cywood helper
it crashed one time and i powered off and connected it to restore on my
computer about 18 hours later. i tried to restore it with cywood helper
starting at step 5 but when i finished and it was done booting up itunes said
i needed to restore it. i tried to do so many times clicking on regular restore and
shift click to select the 2.2.1 recovery firmware i downloaded.
i keep receiving error message 6 about halfway through the restore process
MY IPOD CANNOT RESTORE TO FACTORY SETTINGS AND I NEED HELP

Download the stock iPod firmware, and shift restore in iTunes using DFU mode

If that doesn't work, use another computer.

That should be stock firmware, but just redownload it from here and try again.
