[SOLUTION!] iPod won't go into DFU

Okay the solution has been found! Since I was on 1.1.5, DFU did not work, so I upgraded to the original 2.0, and then DFU worked at once! Succes

    Hey folks!

This time I have to call out for your help..
I want to jailbreak my ipod in 2.0 obviously, but my iPod won't go into DFU mode properly!
Let me explain what happens.. I do the steps required for DFU mode, the power/sleep button thingy, and my computer pops up a balloon which sais that my phone is in DFU mode, great!

BUT! When I start iTunes (7.7), it automatically makes my iPod's screen turn blank, I hear a few plugin/plugout sounds from windows, and next my iPod's back into Recovery Mode, which won't let me upgrade it with the Pwned firmware I have created with WinPwn nor the one I've created with xWinPwn..

I'm getting really tired of this after 2-3 hours of trying, so please, does anybody know how to get my iPod into DFU mode???

    The Things I Tried:
    - Manually with power/sleep buttons
    - ZiPhone DFU mode thingy - Wont work, makes my iTunes crash [waiting for iPod] message
    - iLiberty+ DFU mode thingy - makes my screen red, and iTunes says my iPod is unrecognised
    - Some DFU script called iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu - Makes my iPod an unrecognised iPhone

I wouldn't have created this thread if I wasn't absolutely clueless about any solution...

    Thanks in advance!!

    Anton

try a cleannnnnn restore then follow THESE steps to get your ipod into DFU
go get a stopwatch or a watch with a seconds hand and follow these directions to a T
    1. Hold Power Button and turn off device
    2. Wait 5 seconds
    3. Hold Power + Home Button For 10 seconds
    4. Let go of power button but keep pressing the home button for 10 seconds
    5. itunes will open and say "your ipod is in recovery mode and you need to restore"
Your iPod should not show ANYTHING on the screen after step 1. If it shows the connect to itunes sign you did it wrong so just try again till you get it right.
    HOPE THIS HELPS

    Are you on 1.1.5?
I was trying to put my ipod 1.1.5 in DFU but it wouldn't work, it always get me recovery mod. So i put the non modified 2.0 and it went to DFU on the first try...
