    I am stuck from 6b!!!

    1. Extract all of the files in this zip archive (http://[PIRACY.rs].com/files/61854280/touchFree.zip).)

    2. Copy iTunesMobileDevice.dll from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin to the same folder as touchFree.exe.

    3. Restore your iPod to a fresh 1.1.1 state (recommended but optional)

    4. Load http://jailbreak.toc2rta.com in Safari on the iPod. Safari should exit/crash.

    5. Run touchFree.exe
    - When prompted to reboot, turn off the iPod as you do so normally and then turn it on again.
After waiting for the springboard to appear, push enter to continue.

    - You will be asked to reboot twice at some point. This means turning the iPod off, turning it on,
turning it off again, and then turning it back on before pushing enter to continue.
    - Enter the IP address of the iPod when prompted
make sure your pc and ipod are connected to the same wifi router..
    - If you get a PuTTY dialogue about the SSH host key, say yes.
    6. Finish installation of Installer.app:
I believe the author meant it finishes installation and the comand prompt window closes automatically.

6a. Launch an SSH session into your iPod, username is root, password is alpine.
You can use the copy of putty included.
I used Winscp to access the folders in iPod touch.
6b. Follow steps 7.5-7.11 in http://www.iphonealley.com/news/ipho...allation-guide (when they say type, they mean type in the SSH session)
    #7 Install AppTapp
    5. Slide to unlock your iPhone then type /Applications/Installer.app/Installer and hit return to launch Installer (I instead went back to root folder and got into applications folder using winscp, and what he means by hit "return" I think he meant "hit enter button?!").
    6. After AppTapp opens, press control+c to close it. (Well, all I can read from editing of installer is: Îúíþ ework/Foundation... and I can't close it pressing ctrl+c but esc... what is wrong?)
    7. Open Safari on iPhone and navigate to http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/beta (I get error message "Safari can't download this file.)
    8. Tap yes to add it to Installer (nada

    9. Back in terminal, using ssh, type /Applications/Installer.app/Installer and hit return to launch Installer again. (nada

    10. Install Trip1PogoStick located under the "System" category to enable scrolling and applications. (nada

    )
    11. When you're done, reboot the iPhone and close all your windows. You now have AppTapp. (nada

6c. Note that before Trip1PogoStick is visible, you must install the Community Sources package
in Installer.app. This is not mentioned in that tutorial (and how do you install this package??? where is Installer.app, and where is it in Installer.app???)

    Start at step 7.4

Everything it tells you to type, you type into whatever program you're using for SSH.
