Since either i J.B or dropped (not severely) my iphone3g the wifi seems to not work. I can toggle on like a normal device however nothing is detected. Is there some sort of diagnostic i can do to see if the wifi adapter or whatever is damaged ? or if the jailbreak has somehow shafted it...

please any input would be appreciated.

The drop could have unplugged the WiFi antenna.

Sounds really stupid but try this (worked on a broken 2G I had): find a wireless router that you know the iPhone should connect with. Hold the iPhone right next to the antenna on the wireless router and see if is picks it up. Again I know it sounds gay but I had a 2G with a broken antenna plug (on the motherboard) and that is the only way I could get it to pick up WiFi.

If you can pop the bottom off the iphone you can check and see if it came unplugged unless it came off on the other end.

The 2 white wires, 1 is for wifi 1 is for gsm.
