recently i downloaded the new 3.0 software to my ipod touch 1g. Later it ran out of battery and when i went to charge it it would not charge. I looked in itunes and it came up as an iphone and it says it is in recovery mode. I have tried restoring it and it says that the software for this iphone is currently unavailable. I dont know what to do. someone please help me. This ipod was never even jailbroken

download the 3.0 firmware for the ipod touch from the internet just google it. make sure its the ipod touch 1g 3.0 firmware and save it to your desktop. then go into dfu mode and shift click restore then select the firmware on your desktop and you should be good
